# Referrals

> Invite friends and earn referral credit. Give €5, get €5 when a friend signs up with your code, adds a card, and tops up at least €20.

Invite a friend to Suji and you both earn **€5 of referral credit**. Find it
under **Refer a friend** in your account menu (your avatar, top-right of the
dashboard).

## Get your code and invite link

Open your account menu (avatar, top-right) and choose **Refer a friend**. You
will find:

* **Your referral code** (for example `3b9mfh57`), and
* **Your invite link** (`https://suji.fr/?ref=YOUR_CODE`).

Copy either one and share it. The invite link pre-fills your code on the sign-up
page, so your friend does not have to type it.

## How a friend qualifies

    Your friend creates a Suji account using your invite link (code pre-filled),
    or by entering your code on the registration page. Email/password and the
    Google / GitHub sign-in buttons all carry the code through.

    They save a card under **Settings → Payment methods**.

  <Step title="They top up at least €20 (net)">
    Their net top-ups (top-ups minus any refunds) reach **€20 or more**. Exactly
    €20 counts.

When all three are met, the referral **qualifies** and the rewards are granted
automatically.

## When the credit arrives

The 30-day hold on your reward is a safeguard: if the qualifying payment is later
reversed (a refund or chargeback), the pending reward is cancelled instead of
clawed back after the fact. Once the hold passes, your €5 lands on your balance
and you will get an email.

## How referral credit works

Referral credit is granted as **Suji credit**, with a few rules that differ from
money you top up yourself:

* **Spent first.** Referral credit is consumed *before* your paid balance, so you
  get the benefit before paying out of pocket.
* **Non-refundable, no cash value.** It cannot be withdrawn or refunded to a card.

* **Expires 6 months after it is granted.** Each €5 grant has its own 6-month
  clock. Use it before then.

<Note>
  Referral rewards are subject to a monthly program cap and fair-use checks to
  prevent abuse (for example, self-referrals or disposable accounts). Genuine
  invites are unaffected.

## Notes

* One referral per referred organization.
* During the private beta, a valid referral code also gets the invited email into
  the beta.
* Referral credit follows the same billing rules as any credit: see
