Prerequisites

  • A phone number dedicated to the bot (not your personal number)
  • A running Suji instance

Set Up Signal

1

Get a phone number

You’ll need a phone number that can receive SMS or voice calls for verification. This number will be used as the bot’s identity on Signal.Consider using a VoIP number or a dedicated SIM card for this purpose.
The phone number you use will be registered as a Signal account. If it’s already associated with a personal Signal account, that account will be deactivated.

Connect to Suji

1

Go to your instance

Open your instance in the Suji dashboard and click the Connectors tab.
2

Add Signal connector

Click Add Connector and select Signal.
3

Enter the phone number

Enter the phone number in the phoneNumber field, including the country code (e.g., +33612345678).
4

Save

Click Save. You’ll need to complete the Signal registration/verification process through the instance.

Verify the Connection

After completing Signal registration, send a message to the bot’s phone number on Signal. Your OpenClaw agent should respond.

Troubleshooting

  • Make sure the phone number can receive SMS or voice calls
  • The number may already be registered — try a different number
  • Check the instance logs for registration errors
  • Verify the instance is in the Running state
  • Check that Signal registration completed successfully
  • Check the instance logs for connection errors
